With light yellow-green colors, tocai is a dry wine, with a tender bouquet, reminiscent of the flavor of almonds and wildflowers. In the wine there are few acids, which are very rough in a bad vintage. Tocai wine is recognized as an excellent young wine, although experts are of the opinion that it can age in an excellent mature wine. In Slovenia they produce tocai only on the Collio areas. Thanks to weak acids, tocai is an excellent aperitif wine. Excellent with risotto and egg dishes.
