Its labels, all biodynamic, focus on freshness and extreme drinkability. Wines with a contemporary taste, very pop, but not banal. They are in fact wines that enhance the quality of the ancient red grapes of the Tuscan coast: alicante and carignano. But, even if they are rustic and true vines, Ampeleia puts in the glass a dynamic and snappy red, sunny, Mediterranean, satisfying and compulsive drinking. Totally genuine. The Cannucceto vineyard gives it to us, 200 meters above sea level on the most Mediterranean side of the Maremma. A vineyard surrounded by scrub and sunflowers, with a subsoil rich in minerals and fossils. Ampeleia is the story of an abandoned farm on the slopes of the metalliferous hills of the Maremma, purchased in the 1960s by a couple from Switzerland. Today, Ampeleia is the realization of the dream of one of the visionaries of Italian wine: Elisabetta Foradori. Queen of the Dolomites and Teroldego, Elisabetta has established in Ampeleia the exciting project of a different Tuscany, out of any stereotype. Unlitro, which is Ampeleia's most immediate wine, is at the same time its emblem. Conviviality and light-heartedness in its pure state. A summer red, but always excellent, perfect especially for barbecues and on any occasion where company reigns. The one-liter format is a tribute to friendship, but also to the traditional Tuscan fiasco, which was uncorked in moments of meeting. It is an artisanal blend of alicante, carignano, mourvèdre, sangiovese and alicante bouschet that rests only a few months in concrete. Intense ruby red, lively and brilliant, Unlitro expresses itself with a nose that pricks with fragrant hints of cherries and raspberries, aromatic herbs, Mediterranean scrub, anise and fresh licorice.
