Barón de Ley 7 Viñas Reserva is a perfect example of a 'true Rioja', celebrating blends and biodiversity. It comes from one single vineyard, over 70 years old, alive with all the different varieties used to make this wine, including three white grapes; Tempranillo, Graciano, Red Grenache, Carignan, Macabeo, Malvasia and Grenache Blanc. The fruit is vinified in four separate processes, and the resulting four wines are left to age for 36 months in different kinds of barrels. The final coupage is aged for twelve months in 10,000-litre French oak casks. An excellent work that is well worth trying.
