What would happen if a prestigious winemaker moved to a region of proven quality and combined the best of the terroir with the savoir-faire acquired in a wide variety of appellations with different characteristics? We would probably get a wine similar to Can Blau, the result of the experience of the Juan Gil group. Juicy, pleasant and enveloping, everything about it seems tailor-made. The very ripe fruit naturally assimilates a perfectly measured barrel that adds spicy and liquorice tones to fruit of the highest quality. Can Blau shows the differences between each vintage under a common umbrella of sublime maturity and juiciness, with roasted tones and polished, sweet and creamy tannins. If we are looking for an intense but pleasant wine, surprising but accessible to all audiences, Can Blau may well be the answer.
