Only the perfect Sangiovese grapes from Podere Giodo are destined for Brunello di Montalcino by Carlo Ferrini. The long maturation - a good two and a half years - takes place in small French oak barrels of 700 liters, followed by 18 months of aging in the bottle, an essential period to give Giodo Brunello di Montalcino elegance, balance and depth.
After all, these are the qualifying points of the Giodo style: a Brunello based on elegance and finesse rather than on power and muscularity. A refined and very drinkable Brunello, a measured and faithful reader of the terroir and the vintage that generated it.
