A blend of Garnacha (45%) and Cariñena (45%), with a small percentage of Syrah, Riu is a fresh, mature Priorat that admirably reflects its terroir. Aged in oak barrels but not new ones, this is the junior cellar companion of the grand cuvées, Trio Infernal 1/3 and 2/3. Aged for 12 months in 500-litre French oak barrels, used previously for one or two wines.
