In ancient times the company was divided into two bodies, one called Stoppa, the other Macchiona. Macchiona is the name of a farmhouse placed in the middle of the vineyards of the most traditional red varieties of the Colli Piacentini and of this wine that faithfully reflects its characteristics. At sight it is garnet red in color; notes of jams and red fruits alternate with spicy hints, creating a fragrant and intense aromatic bouquet. The sip is smooth in the mouth, with a pleasantly mineral tannic texture. Excellent persistence. Ideal as an accompaniment to structured first courses, also excellent with semi-mature cheeses.
