La Vieille Ferme Rouge 2023 is a red wine made by the Perrin family in the Southern Rhône, France, with a balanced blend of Carignan, Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah. Intense ruby red with violet reflections, on the nose it displays an attractive combination of ripe red fruits such as blackcurrants and blueberries, together with subtle notes of violet, leather and spices. On the palate, it is fresh, well-structured and easy to drink, with soft tannins and a fruity profile complemented by nuances of pepper and elderberries. The 2023 vintage benefited from a balanced climate, allowing for optimal ripening of the grapes and resulting in a wine with great concentration and remarkable freshness. Its versatility makes it ideal for accompanying grilled red meats, cheese boards and rustic dishes, and it is also recognised for its excellent value for money. Popularly known as ‘Chicken Wine’ because of its label illustrated with chickens and its popularity on social networks, this wine has become a prominent choice in restaurants and homes around the world.
