The 2014 vintage was early at the start of the cycle, as were the 2008 and 2011 vintages, due to a mild 2013 winter marked by heavy rainfall - 497mm of rain between November and February. This early start - bud break on March 21 for the Merlot and March 31 for the Cabernet Sauvignon - was tempered on May 19, when violent thunderstorms occurred, marking the start of sporadic rainy episodes until the end of the month. This instability will continue throughout the summer. The month of September, one of the hottest and driest in recent decades, favored a gradual and homogeneous ripening of the berries, which allowed the teams to work in great serenity during the harvest. Dark and intense purple color. Lively nose of ripe red fruits. A meticulous touch on the palate, on a fleshy, silky body, of great vitality and sappy length.
