Sassicaia, a true legend since 1968 A deep and intense ruby colour. On the nose its elegance and gentleness are outstanding, featuring a bouquet of sweet ripe black fruits (blueberries, blackcurrants, cassis liqueur) and Mediterranean herbs such as bay, juniper and myrtle. Following on, its spicy hints and balsamic notes remain with us for a long time. On the palate it appears powerful and concentrated, with the ripe black fruit persisting and complemented by other touches of chocolate, vanilla, quinine and bracken, in a combination which imparts a pleasant vegetal freshness overall. A wine of noble elegance, exquisite balance, with fine tannins seeming to caress the palate.
