Straightforward wines with a decisive personality. This is the DNA of the production of Tiefenbrunners and Christof, at the helm of the winery. Quality and territoriality are protected around the beautiful and unique castle of Niclara, in the village of Cortaccia, one of the best wine-growing areas in Alto Adige. The vineyards extend up to an altitude of 1,000 metres, where, in Favogna, Müller-Thurgau, generally considered the most representative variety in the range, is cultivated.
Fragrant but at the same time energetic and refreshing, Pinot Bianco is one of the most popular wines in the Merus range, which includes the most typical, classic and straightforward labels. It comes from gravelly, sandy vineyards located between 200 and 600 metres above sea level around the estate's castle in Cortaccia and others, further down the valley, in Magrè. A wine that of course only touches steel, and stays about four months in contact with its own yeasts before bottling.
This wine shows all its youthful elegance and freshness, showing its brilliant pale straw yellow colour, enveloped in floral, finely fruity hints of apple and tropical fruit, pineapple and melon. A pleasant and refreshing acidity accompanies the mineral notes, giving a lovely harmonious finish and a light, agile and dynamic drink. Accompanies first courses, asparagus dishes, fish, canederli.
