Valtosca 2021
Casa Castillo
Spain- Jumilla
Syrah vines are being introduced all over the south-east, since they adapt well to the climate, and the Valtosca has become one of the most successful wines produced over there using this varietal. José María Vicente, in charge of the winery’s technical side, has managed to convey perfectly to this wine the land’s character and its climate. Consistent and warm, it is notable for its minerality and complexity.
In appearance it is an intense cherry colour, with a vivid violet hue on the rim. On the nose it exudes toasty aromas, mineral hints, jammy notes, rich in fruit expression and mature. The palate is powerful, with very ripe tannins, jammy black fruit, earthy touches, minerals, and clearly complex.
Aged for 10 months in barrel.
