Ventisquero Vertice 2020 is a premium red wine, the result of a collaboration between Viña Ventisquero and the renowned winemaker John Duval. Produced in the Apalta Valley in Chile, this wine is a blend of two grape varieties: Carmenere and Syrah, from vineyards located on hillsides with granitic soils and an optimal microclimate for the cultivation of these vines. Deep, dark red in colour, Vertice 2020 impresses from the very first moment. On the nose, it displays a complex and elegant range of aromas, where ripe black fruits such as blackberry and blueberry stand out, along with notes of spices such as black pepper, clove and a subtle touch of bitter chocolate and tobacco, a product of its ageing in French oak barrels. On the palate, Ventisquero Vertice 2020 has a robust, well-balanced structure. The tannins are silky and well-integrated, offering a smooth, velvety texture. Fresh acidity perfectly balances the palate, while ripe fruit flavours, spice and toasty notes unfold in layers, leading to a long, persistent and elegant finish. This wine is ideal with grilled red meats, game dishes, intense stews and mature cheeses. Its complexity and depth make it a perfect choice for special occasions and for those looking for a wine with character and sophistication.
